Winds at 200 hPa at the 24th hour for North America refers to the predicted wind direction and speed at a pressure level of 200 hPa, which is located in the upper troposphere (approximately 12 Km or 7.5 Miles above the Earths surface). The winds are presented knots (kt), and the direction is given in degrees from true north. ‘JetStreams’ are marked in shades of green for winds with magnitude of more than 60 kt is a narrow band of high-speed winds that can influence weather patterns over large areas. Along with the wind speed (kt) and direction , upper air temperatures (Deg C) are also shown at the grid points over the  North American Region at 200 hPa level for the next ten days.
