Upper Level Divergence at the 24 th hour generated using WRF Ver 4.2 at a resolution of 15 Km for India is the graphical representation that depict the magnitude and pattern of horizontal rotation (or the vorticity) of atmosphere around a vertical axis or the vorticity at 200 hPa (12.0km). It is displayed in warm colors such as red and yellow indicating positive vorticity (cyclonic rotation), and cool colors such as blue and green indicating negative vorticity (anticyclonic rotation). It can be associated with weather systems such as troughs, ridges, and jet streams.
